The LVŽS announced that council members would consider the tax reform planned by Ingrida Šimonytė’s government and solutions “that deepen the social, economic and health problems in the state.”

According to Ramūnas Karbauskis, leader of the Peasants, the party plans to discuss what actions to take against the government’s decisions.

“The LVŽS council will meet on Friday and we will talk about how to react politically to all of this. The power is so weak that even the word ‘desperate’ is appropriate. In each realm, we can discover a situation that is no longer manageable or in the that you can access the absurd ”, said R. Karbauskis.

The meeting will also approve the candidacy of the new shadow minister for Social Affairs and Labor from the shadow government in place of Tom Tomilinas, who has been expelled from the party.

For the first time, the LUJS intends to carry out general elections for the president, previously the leader was chosen by the congress delegates.

R.Karbauskis has led LVŽS for more than a decade. He was last reelected in 2019.
