According to Ernesta Dapkienė, director of the Communication and Image Department at Maxima, the supermarket chain has been urging customers for some time to give up plastic loyalty cards so they don’t see any problems.
“We understand the discontent of the people and regret the possible inconveniences, but for our part we must comply with all the restrictions imposed by the Government of Lithuania, which came into effect on September 13. We have been doing this responsibly since the beginning of the pandemic, when the quarantine was first announced, with additional guidance on safety and hygiene conditions.
