USA
President Joe Biden announced tough new rules Thursday that will directly affect some 80 million people. The broader coverage measures require companies with more than 100 employees to ensure that everyone is vaccinated or screened weekly.

Greece
Starting September 1, health workers in the public and private sectors will need to be vaccinated.
Italy
Italian doctors and health professionals must be vaccinated; otherwise, they will be prohibited from working directly with patients. Starting October 10, vaccination will be mandatory for staff in nursing homes.
Teachers, school and university staff, and unvaccinated students must submit proof of a negative test every other day.
Britain
As of November 11. Anyone who works or volunteers in a nursing home will need to be fully vaccinated.
Canada
The Justin Trudeau administration said in mid-August that all federal agency workers would need to be vaccinated by the end of September, as would most passengers on railroads, planes and commercial ships.
Russia
Moscow has ordered vaccination for everyone working in the service sector, and other cities, including St. Petersburg, have followed suit.
Hungary
Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said vaccines will be mandatory for nursing and care workers.
Kazakhstan
The former Soviet state has ordered the vaccination of workers in a variety of sectors, from the service industry to banking and entertainment, or prohibited them from working face-to-face with their colleagues.
Fiji
The Pacific has announced a policy of “unemployment, no vaccines” for public servants and private sector workers.
Equatorial Guinea
In Equatorial Guinea, vaccination is mandatory for certain professions, including soldiers, medical personnel and teachers, as of July 20.
Gambia
In mid-August, a small West African country ordered the vaccination of workers in the tourism sector.
Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe said on Wednesday it would force officials to resign if they did not vaccinate.

Some 20 local authorities, including the city of Chukchi in Yunnan province, have warned that unvaccinated residents over the age of 18 will soon be admitted to hospitals, schools or public transport.
Saudi Arabia
Although there is no formal requirement for vaccination, the restrictions imposed on unvaccinated people in many places de facto imply this obligation. Only vaccinated workers can access their jobs, and Riyadh has ruled that anyone who uses public transport or goes to government or private institutions must also be vaccinated.
Companies
US CVS pharmacies, Chevron, Disney and Goldman Sachs are among the growing number of large companies requiring that some or all of their employees be vaccinated.
In Australia, where nursing home workers are required to receive their first dose of the vaccine by September 17, Qantas has required all staff to be vaccinated.
