Mindaugas Samkus, representative of the Registry Center, informed the Registry Center where and when people who have not electronically withdrawn their passport of opportunity will be able to obtain it directly from specialists, and the president of the Association of Pharmacies will announce that in any pharmacy.
There will be a mobile team of specialists.
According to the Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė, currently around 860 thousand people have obtained the opportunity passport. the only users. It should be noted that a certificate obtained from a doctor or e-health is also valid as a passport of opportunity.
Mindaugas Samkus, representative of the Records Center, explained what bus trips would be like. According to him, the Registry Center team will visit different municipalities in the country at the agreed time and will help to obtain passports for those who belong to them.
“We have those few municipalities where there is no physical customer service unit of the Registry Center, and in communication with the mayors of these municipalities, we have agreed on the times and places where the Registry Center staff can go. Residents who come to these places will be able to obtain an opportunity passport if it belongs to them.
We are talking first of all about those residents who do not have the technological possibilities to download a passport from an electronic website, they do not use electronic or bank signatures ”, explained M. Samkus.
According to him, the mobile team will travel to both large cities and smaller towns: residents of Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Panevėžys, municipalities of the Alytus district will be able to receive a passport of opportunities with the help of specialists. The Registration Center staff will also go to Birštonas, Kazlų Rūda, Rietavas, Pagėgiai and other municipalities.
“The initial plan is to have a team, a group of several people, who would go to a specific municipality at an agreed time, possibly also to the old age of that municipality, and would welcome all the neighbors who wish for a time. If necessary, this initiative could be expanded and continued, ”said a representative from the Registry Center.
He emphasized that incoming residents only need to have an identity document with them, so that it is possible to verify whether a person can actually obtain a passport of opportunity.
M.Samkus pointed out that the specialists on the Mobile Registration Center team will not only print the passports, but also help to download them if the person does not know how to do it. According to him, the municipalities will provide local residents with information on when and where the “bus” will arrive, but this can also be followed on the website of the Registry Center.
Passports will also be distributed in pharmacies soon.
Kristina Nemaniūtė-Gagė, president of the Pharmacy Association, said she was convinced that in the near future it would be possible to easily pick up the opportunity passport at any pharmacy.
“We just realized that it would be possible to do so in the near future. The pharmacies of the Lithuanian Pharmacy Association (Gintarinė vaistinė, Eurovaistinė, Benu vaistinė and Norfos vaistinė) will be able to print opportunity passports, and we are currently looking for ways and means to do it quickly and easily so that we can provide this service to the Lithuanian population sooner, ”he said.
K. Nemaniūtė-Gagė recalled that the pharmacy took the initiative immediately after hearing the proposal from the Ministry.
“We heard that an option was being considered so that pharmacies could contribute, and without waiting for bureaucratic avenues, we only checked if it would be technically possible. And we immediately gave the signal that we could contribute.
We see this as a social campaign, as a responsible business idea, because together we really want to get out of the pandemic faster and return to normal life ”, explained the president of the Pharmacy Association.
According to her, it is still very difficult to say when it will be possible to collect the opportunity passport at the pharmacy, but the exact date should be clear soon.
“Currently, technical solutions are being created, because pharmacists only see electronic prescriptions in e-health. I think we can name a specific date this week, “stated K. Nemaniūtė-Gagė.
According to her, pharmacists often represented the doctors themselves during the pandemic, so it was necessary to train them even more so that they could properly consult clients.
“When the health facilities were still closed, the pharmacists were on the front lines and received many questions, including about vaccines. As a result, we have trained all pharmacists to help answer such questions. People really came to consult very often, ”said the president of the Pharmacy Association.
Vytas Kederys, deputy mayor of the Birštonas municipality, assured that he already knew the date on which the locals could come to collect their passport.
“We are preparing and waiting, it will happen on August 26. Already today we hang announcements everywhere that such a thing will take place, the presidents and elders of the communities will also introduce the possibility of coming to our municipality and obtaining a passport of opportunities in their territories, ”said V. Kederys.
According to him, so far the municipality has not received any problems related to the opportunity passport, but the deputy mayor is considering that they may arise in September.
“Today, not a single resident has presented himself to the municipality or to any other institution. In recent days, the consultations will intensify, but we in the closed group of residents of Birštonas have a separate section and familiarize residents with both the COVID-19 documents and the passport of opportunities, their validity, revocation ”, he emphasized V. Kederys.
“We have been providing residents with comprehensive information since the beginning of the pandemic, and they apparently know where to look for it. But if there is demand, we always provide information and I don’t really see big problems here, “he added.
