Delfi previously wrote that Šiauliai-based pizzeria Gustukas had announced that it did not intend to follow passport-related instructions. It was indicated that the company will only accept unvaccinated people and, if no claims are made, the cafe will be able to visit you even after vaccination.
Then the owner of the pizzeria, Mantas Zemeckas, told the editorial office that he wanted to maintain equal opportunities for all his customers to visit the pizzeria.
As the owner of the company confirmed now, shortly after the information appeared in public space, the pizzeria soc. The network also received a comment from the Advisor to the Minister of Health Justina Aleksaitė.
“Starting September 14, we will ensure that the pizzeria is visited for an inspection,” he wrote.
It is true that, according to the businessman, the long wait was lost. Specialists from the State Food and Veterinary Service visited immediately a few days later, but found no irregularities.
Laws authorizing companies to accept only passport visitors for opportunities will take effect on Sept. 13, but exactly how Mr. Zemeckas will behave and whether he will accept those who have not been vaccinated is still being decided, he said.
“Next week we have a meeting with our lawyers about a legal and moral claim. For now, we are analyzing everything and explaining if the passport of opportunities is not in conflict with the Constitution.
We do not want to make revolutions here, we want to continue working, but we do not believe that clients should separate and we are looking for that opportunity. If we don’t find a solution, in the worst case, we will close, we will only deliver food to the house and we will forgive about 25 percent. our good employees and we will try to survive, ”he said, saying that the company wants to fight for all customers.
“We will do our best, we are optimistic, we have thoughts, but we are small in front of the whole machine,” he said.
The owner of the pizzeria assured that an association of independent entrepreneurs is currently being formed, whose members have already expressed their desire to be 100 companies.

Delfi was unable to contact the minister’s adviser, J. Aleksaite, but told the lrytas.lt portal that he did not write a complaint that SFVS specialists would visit the company.
“In this case, in the social network, as a person, as an official and as a doctor, I react to the intention of the pizzeria not to comply with the law and inform that if they decide to do so, I will contact the relevant authorities, because not I believe that non-compliance should be tolerated ”, commented the Minister’s advisor to the lrytas.lt portal.
According to her, companies that publicly announce that they will only accept unvaccinated customers can receive service calls now or in September.
Earlier, representatives from the National Center for Public Health (NVSC) assured the editorial board that there would be a risk of fines if the rules were not followed.
“The Code of Administrative Offenses establishes the fines for legal persons for breach of the provisions of the legislation from 1,500 to 6,000 euros,” the responses indicated.
