Lithuanian Sandra Skorupskaitė came to Berlin a few years ago; her mother came here to work and seek a better life. A couple of years later, she also brought her two children here: Sandra was only 14 years old. At that time, the woman met her future husband a decade ago.
“We met where we both like to visit: the club. We didn’t even realize how 10 years had passed. A man supports me everywhere and always, he trusts us, we are best friends, a woman who enjoys the wife status. – When we decided to get married, I was glad that the man let me do everything and decide for myself what I wanted. Trust me, I knew the wedding would be perfect. “
However, the plans for the celebration have been repeatedly altered by the pandemic – she has had to postpone the wedding date twice.
“We had planned to hold the celebration in June 2020, but due to the coronavirus situation we had to move them to the first days of June this year. Here we face another problem: we received the permission for the event only from June 15, so we had to postpone our celebration again, says Sandra. – Planning a wedding in the presence of a coronavirus is a great challenge. It took a lot of stress and nerves, because everything had to be coordinated with planners and vendors. It’s true that two wonderful planners, Gintarė and Andrea, helped me organize everything. “
Blankets Petruškevičius took care of the decoration and accents of the luxurious weddings; many of them were created especially for this celebration.
“50 chandeliers were hung in the hallway, they were of different sizes. A huge truck drove from Lithuania to Rome and transported all the decorations. We and the guests were also enchanted by specially sewn tablecloths, cedar slipcovers, napkins embroidered with a logo created by young people. Tens of thousands of flowers were brought directly from Holland, says the interlocutor and mentions that the food at the party was also exceptional. – The food was prepared by the best Italian ship, California, which also prepared food for the English royal family. Both days’ menu was not short of extremely luxurious dishes: lobster, truffles, aged veal. There was a 9-tier cake. The guests were only offered very expensive drinks: “Tignanello Antinori Toscana” wine, champagne “Ruinart”.
Sandra and Dario’s wedding lasted more than a day; the festival consisted of three different events, attended by 110 guests from around the world. A large group of friends could feel it in the Baroque era, and the last part of the wedding was held in an exclusive place.
“The welcome luncheon was organized on the theme of the” red gala dinner “: everything was drowned out among red roses, glittering gold baroque ornaments. Meanwhile, on the main wedding day, we celebrated Willa Miani, with a baroque theme Colors, fabrics, dresses, a sweet table – accents from this period can be found in everything. And the third event, a poolside party, took place in a villa owned by Italian aristocrats, which has never been rented out for events, but only for Hollywood films ”, gives an interesting detail S. Skorupskaitė.
The wedding dress was exclusive and really impressive: it weighed up to 40 kilograms and was designed for several years. The dress was hand embroidered with small sparkling stones. Using it was a real challenge for Sandra; however, the woman was extremely happy with her choice.
“My husband Dario and my son Damian designed the costumes for Dolce & Gabanna. These were designs created especially for them. And for her daughter Darija, the same dress as mine was created, just a mini version, Sandra smiles. – I weighed 10 kg, by the way, but Darija perfectly endured the entire event. She was a real princess! My second dress for dinner was designed by Galiah Lahav, I wore the famous Jimmy Choo Cinderella shoes. “
True, the Lithuanian designer Robertas Kalinkinas also worked on youth clothing. She designed clothes for cousins and bridesmaids, a dress created for Sandra’s western part.
“He had to fly often and a lot, perform primations. By the way, we didn’t want to take a chance and fly on a clothing plane, so they were taken to Berlin on a special bus, ”says a Lithuanian woman who recently married her lover.
More Lithuanians worked on organizing the celebration: a planner, an event host, and even a priest. The team to create a wedding that turned into a real fairy tale gathered from all over Europe – up to 96 professionals worked in their fields.
“I always knew what kind of wedding I wanted. He had a very specific vision for them! I fought until everything went the way I imagined. So today I can say one thing: nothing is impossible! ”Smiles S. Skorupskaitė, who created the celebration of the dream.
