The number of new cases in 14 days is 100,000. The population fell to 16.8 percent and the proportion of positive diagnostic tests on Monday was 0.5 percent.
A total of 278,950 people have fallen ill with COVID-19 in Lithuania since the start of the pandemic, of which the number has dropped to 490.
On Sunday, 18 new diseases were registered in Lithuania, one person died.
Comparing the last two weeks, according to data from epidemiological studies conducted by the National Center for Public Health (NVSC), there has been a further reduction of 60 percent in active outbreaks of coronavirus infection. A total of 18 active outbreaks were recorded at the end of last week, when, at that time, a month ago, in early June, the number of such outbreaks in Lithuania was more than 18 times higher.
On Monday it was announced that people with a history of COVID-19, which was confirmed by a PCR test, will now be vaccinated with a single dose of Comirnaty, Spikevax, Vaxzevria. Research has shown that a single dose of these vaccines is sufficient to build immunity when the body is already exposed to the coronavirus.
