The Registry has successfully completed the technical changes, so that such persons will be able to obtain the Opportunity Passport and the EU Digital COVID certificate and will be considered vaccinated under the full vaccination scheme. The EU digital COVID certificate will be issued if a person has a history of COVID-19 disease confirmed by a PCR test and has been vaccinated with a single dose of Comirnaty, Spikevax or Vaxzevria vaccine or Janssen vaccine. If COVID-19 is not confirmed by a PCR test but by a rapid antigen test, a person will need to be vaccinated with two doses of Comirnaty, Spikevax, Vaxzevria or Janssen to obtain the EU digital COVID certificate. However, in such cases, the Passport of Opportunity will be issued after the first dose.
According to research, vaccinated people are recommended to be vaccinated 180 days after diagnosis. However, residents who wish to maintain uninterrupted validity between the EU digital COVID certificate proving a disease and the vaccination certificate have the option of registering the vaccine earlier, after 150 days. People who have not developed antibodies after illness can register for vaccination earlier by sending the results of a self-initiated antibody test to the vaccination center. Such tests should be performed no earlier than 21 days after the confirmation of the COVID-19 diagnosis.
If a patient becomes ill after the first dose of Comirnaty, Spikevax, or Vaxzevria, the second dose is also delayed and it is recommended that the vaccine be given 180 days later.
People who have not had COVID-19 or who have been diagnosed with the disease by an antigen test are vaccinated as usual: one dose of Janssen vaccine or two doses of Comirnaty, Spikevax, or Vaxzevria. The following breaks are taken between two doses:
• 21 days for community vaccination
• Spikevax vaccine: 28 days;
• Vaxzevria vaccine – 4-12 weeks.
The registration system will automatically prescribe a second dose of Vaxzevria vaccine after 12 weeks. It is this pause that ensures greater effectiveness of the vaccine recommended by the Ministry of Health. If necessary, the second dose of Vaxzevria vaccine can be advanced by logging into the registration system www.koronastop.lt or by calling 1808.
