Lithuanian weary of coronavirus are already fearless and plan trips abroad without much fear.

According to tour operator Novatura, Lithuania’s favorite Turkey is already admitting tourists, hotels will start operating in July, but Lithuanians will have to wait until mid-summer at best.

Urges Lithuanians to refrain from traveling
The National Center for Public Health recommends that residents refrain from vacationing in foreign countries. After all, imported cases of coronavirus have caused a lot of concern in Lithuania recently. In June alone, 17 cases of imported COVID-19 were registered in Lithuania.

Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga says that after the end of the quarantine, it will be recommended that people in countries affected by the coronavirus isolate themselves. The list of such countries must be approved by order of the Minister, and failure to comply with the recommendation to isolate is also threatened with criminal liability.
“Although this is a recommendation, under current law, if a person receives such a recommendation, if they have symptoms, they should go for a checkup. And if they walk in such a situation, they will infect other people and other people will have health problems. This can put a person under administrative or criminal responsibility ”, warned the minister.
In May, in the face of the coronavirus, passenger traffic numbered in the thousands at all airports in the country. It is projected that with the recovery of tourism, tens of thousands of travelers will be counted in June.
