Discussing a new case of COVID-19 infection in Vilnius County, G. Megelinskienė reported that a coronavirus had been detected in a healthcare worker.
“She is an employee of the Admission-Emergency Department of one of the Vilnius hospitals, whose circumstances are not yet clear. As it is probable that this person has been infected in the social environment, but we do not rule out the possibility of infection in the environment work, an evaluation is underway, ”said a representative from NVSC.
He assured that the epidemiological investigation carried out on Saturday by NVSC specialists will go to the Rudamina market, which is associated with 6 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
According to the Attention Laboratory of the National Center for Occupational Health on Saturday morning, 239 people in our country currently suffer from a disease caused by a coronavirus infection. Since then, 76 people have died and ten more have been diagnosed with coronavirus due to other diseases.
