The woman told the court that she had been living with her husband for 15 years. He came back from a girlfriend that day after drinking heavily (1.71 per thousand of alcohol) and got mad at his roommate.
Then they both sat down at the table. The woman grabbed the knife and stabbed her partner in the abdomen. The man was injured, but there was no rush to call for help, as the blood was noticeable until some time later.
Fortunately, no vital organs were damaged, so the doctors saved the man from death. And the woman who wounded the partner sat on the bench.
Curiously, in court, the victim herself asked the partner who hurt him for mercy. The court took this into account and ordered only 20 days of detention. This crime was committed in 2020. in September.
Confessed guilty
At the hearing, the defendant Jovita A. pleaded totally guilty. She said MK is her partner, living together for 15 years. The woman confirmed that even after the event, they also live together.
On the day of the accusation, she was invited with a friend, returned home drunk, the partner was sober and there was a conflict between them. They were sitting at a table with a knife on the table.
The woman stabbed him once with his partner. According to the woman, she did not want a partner to stab or stab her, she did not even think that the knife would touch him. They and their roommate didn’t even realize what had happened right away.
Only when the man got up to go to the bathroom did he see blood run, then the woman immediately called the ambulance and pulled the man out. The woman could not explain why she did it. Although there were barns between them, he never took the knife and is not usually violent.
On the day of the event, there was an unpleasant conversation between them about their daughter, and the woman’s behavior may have been influenced by jealousy. It turned out that she had previously been convicted of violence against the same partner. I had previously hit him on a plate.
The woman said she lives in a rented apartment with her partner and has no children together. The woman interviewed immediately told me more details. He confirmed that the partner had been convicted more than once for using physical violence against her.
Supposedly on that fateful day, he said he would take revenge on the woman, she tried not to give in to his provocations. However, when the partner mentioned his daughter, the woman no longer survived.
Victim version
The victim herself said during closing speeches that it may have been that he himself caused the conflict in which he was injured by saying something wrong.
He asked the roommate not to punish him severely, saying that he had done it in a non-malicious way and that he did not consider her anger at such an act.
During the pre-trial investigation, the victim said she returned home that day. The partner consumed alcohol.
They had friends who came from the house next door. When the friends left, he went to dinner and was called by a friend who told him that he had bought a car for his daughter and offered to come celebrate.
According to the man, the partner overheard their entire conversation. Immediately after that, she got angry, started saying she wasn’t going anywhere, blaming. He teased her, saying he would go. The partner then ran into the kitchen and grabbed a knife.
He went to the tablet to change the music, at that moment the woman came and said that she would not go anywhere and that she would not give it to anyone, she stabbed him in the abdomen.
After evaluating all the circumstances, the court decided to find the woman guilty and sentenced her to 20 days in prison. It is true that due to two days of detention, the detention sentence was reduced to 18 days. The woman was also forced to pay 683 euros to the Vilnius Territorial Health Insurance Fund for the costs of treatment.
