Zanardi, who suffered an accident, lost both legs and his condition was critical: the Italian heart stopped up to seven times, only a liter of blood remained in the body, but the athlete who never gave survived and found new activity after almost one decade.

Regarding Paralympic sports, A. Zanardi made his debut at the London Games, where he won two gold and one silver medals. He brought the same dowry four years after the Rio de Janeiro Paralympic Games, becoming a true star and symbol of combat in Italy.
