The second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine can be given to vaccines before 12 weeks, says Health Minister Arnas Dulkys.
According to him, this possibility should be applied in the first place, for example, to teachers and graduates, so that the vaccination with the second dose does not coincide with the exams.
At a press conference, the minister mentioned that according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, individuals can be vaccinated with a second dose between 4 and 12 weeks. According to A. Dulkis, these will be the decisions of the individual vaccination center.
In Lithuania, 12 weeks between vaccinations have so far been observed.
According to the minister, to advance the vaccination with the second dose, and to vaccinate the mons before, contact the vaccination center.
Dulkys said he was confident that the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca would continue to be vaccinated, even though Denmark announced Wednesday that it was abandoning the manufacturer’s product entirely.
