The organizers expressed their position immediately after the Chief Commissariat of Police distributed a report on Friday afternoon on the initiation of administrative procedures for minor offenses for the participants of the 2020 MAMA music awards.

According to a press release, representatives of the award will help each participant resolve the situation with an attorney and will continue to work with police officers.

“Since the beginning of the week, we have been cooperating with the officers of the Kaunas County Police Chief Commissariat.

We provide the necessary information and material. To the best of our knowledge and belief, the material is still being investigated and is being supplemented with what could be useful for the investigation, so we do not have specific conclusions about the filming, “the organizers say in the report.

At that time, a report distributed by the Commissariat Chief of Police indicates that 42 administrative procedures have been initiated for minor crimes against persons.

“It is true that, as the material provided by the organizers on the details of the filming is still being investigated, the administrative protocols for offenses sent to individuals have not been clarified and all the relevant circumstances for the investigation have not been established.

By cooperating with the police officers, providing the necessary information and materials, we can assume that the officers do not cooperate with each other and do not share significant material that would aid the investigation and do not put undue pressure on the country’s developers, “the organizers noted in the report.

The latter suggested that the awards were intended to support, not oppose, representatives of the music world.

“Everyone involved in the creation of MAMA and the audiovisual works of the Red Carpet will certainly not be left without our help. We will help resolve the situation together with our lawyer and we will support you as long as the participants themselves need it.

Adapting to the conditions and challenges of quarantine, we held this ceremony to support the country’s performers at a particularly difficult time, and to evaluate and present to the general public the work done over the past year.

So, in this situation, we will continue to be the ones who accompany the developers and support them, ”said MAMA representatives.

The organizers once again pointed out that the filming of the awards and the “Red Carpet” at the “Žalgiris” arena in Kaunas followed complex security measures, SAM recommendations and foreign practices, so everything was carried out in accordance with quarantine requirements and ensuring the health safety of each participant.

“We previously reported that complex security measures were used during the filming, rapid antigen tests used in the country’s hospitals, as well as protective masks were also kept at a safe distance.

It should be noted that the filming was carried out in accordance with SAM’s filming recommendations, which are followed by all other programs filmed in the country, ”the organizers wrote.
