Tadas Palaima, general manager of Floros Global company, which is dedicated to forest auctions, spoke about Lithuanian habits when buying forest, price changes and what to pay attention to when buying forest.

– How much does one hectare currently cost, depending on the type of trees or the area where the forest is located?

– The price depends on the group of trees, the age and type of forest, the restrictions applicable in that plot. The price ranges from € 500 per logging site to € 15,000. or more for mature coniferous oak forests. The cheapest costs are white alders, about 1.5 thousand. per hectare.
