“At this time, we cannot automatically assess whether a person has been vaccinated against COVID-19 and therefore does not receive isolation after a high-risk exposure. Scheduling work is currently underway that will ensure that NVSC receives such information and that additional human resources are not required, ”said the center’s representative, Justina Petravičienė, on BNS on Tuesday.

“Generally speaking, the NVSC system is expected to make a request to the electronic health system and automatically verify if a person on the high-risk list has been vaccinated,” he added.

According to the representative of the center, currently in these cases a person vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine must present an extract from the e-health system.

According to her, until now, the specialists in the system only attend to people who have been ill, they are not subjected to isolation after a high-risk contact with the patient for 90 days from the confirmation of the disease by molecular testing ( PCR) or antigen. .

“At that time, if it has been more than 90 days since the vaccination or relapse, it is being evaluated if the person has been tested for antibodies in the last 60 days. If it is positive, the person is not isolated. If an antibody test has not been performed, it is recommended that it be performed. It is important that a person is isolated until the response to the antibody test is received, ”said J. Petravičienė.

She argued that the person should also present the antibody test results to NVSC specialists at this time so that they are not subjected to isolation after a high-risk exposure.

“I observe that this applies to people who are not in treatment, do not work or live in social services, work or are in prison; these people are not evaluated for how long they have been vaccinated or have relapsed after exposure to high risk, they may not be isolated if you have a positive antibody test done in the last 60 days, “explained the NVSC representative.

According to the Center, there are currently nearly 14,000 people in isolation due to high-risk exposure. persons.
