Movement between municipalities in the ring will be allowed.

The Cabinet of Ministers, when amending the quarantine document, indicated that movement between municipalities of the ring will continue to be allowed.

Delphi has previously published an explanation of the police representatives on how the movement is going in the municipalities of the ring.

“Movement in” circular “municipalities: when people living in the adjacent municipalities of the city and Alytus district, Kaunas city and district, Klaipėda city and district, Panevėžys city and district, Šiauliai city and district, Vilnius city and district, move between the indicated places adjacent municipalities, no movement restrictions apply. If you have not declared your place of residence in one of the neighboring municipalities mentioned above, please we recommend that you have documents proving your actual place of residence (for example, a housing rental agreement), ”explained the police about the quarantine rules.

Furthermore, all quarantine requirements continue to apply when moving in “circular” municipalities.

No more than 2 people or groups of members of a family and / or a household can be in the vehicle at the same time, except for urban, intercity and suburban passenger vehicles or vehicles traveling to or from the workplace.

What exceptions apply?

As before, there are powers and exceptions to movement restrictions. Movement between municipalities will be allowed if:

  • to the municipality of your place of residence;
  • to a municipality other than that of your place of residence due to the death of close relatives;
  • work (in labor matters) when the workplace is in another municipality;
  • to or from international passenger routes to or from airports, seaports, bus stations;
  • about health services;
  • For other objectively justified reasons of urgency, it is unavoidable to go to a municipality other than the one of residence.

This restriction also does not apply to members of the same family or a household who travel to a municipality other than the one in which they reside, where they own real estate owned by one of the members of the family or household.

As mentioned above, movement within the ring municipalities will be allowed.

Social support bubbles

Already at the end of January, the government allowed the formation of bubbles of social support. This

A social support bubble is the communication of one person’s household with members of another household to help lonely people experiencing emotional stress.

The support bubble can be made up of two households or families, if one of them has:

  • no more than one adult;
  • a person and their minor children;
  • a disabled minor or permanent adult in need of care due to a disability.

Members of the support bubble can move from one municipality to another if they are in different municipalities.

Both households that form the bubble of support commit to having no more close contacts outside the bubble.

If a bubble of support forms with a person at risk, it is recommended that:

  • wear protective masks;
  • keep a distance of 2 meters;
  • ventilate the room at least once an hour.
