Not only are there many interesting historical facts, unseen places and authentic food recipes waiting for the show, the audience will be pleasantly surprised by another surprise: the show airs twice as long.

“The COVID-19 pandemic that hit the world significantly restricted travel around the world, so this summer we have a great opportunity to travel in Lithuania.” My team and I have been mixing Lithuania for the third consecutive summer, and our shows inspire thousands of viewers to travel. I am very happy that this show of mine will soon start its third season and not in any way, but twice as much as before. We are growing and improving! ”Says Vaida Skaisgirė, founder and producer of TV Topas, the producer who created the project.

The trio of “Food Road” leaders will spend the entire summer, along with the show’s creative team, at the two-decade-old “Belmontas” entertainment and recreation center, which has become the project’s residence. It is from here that the show team will hit the road every time and after long trips they will return to rest, entertain themselves and enjoy the delights they produce.

“We filmed a lot and intensively, so it is very gratifying that” Belmontas “has become our second home, not only very tasty and cozy, but from this summer you can also stay in very beautiful and luxuriously furnished apartments with spa So, after filming in Belmonte, we not only ate dinner, but also enjoyed the pleasures of the spa or actively spent time in its entertainment areas, ”the producer of the V.Skaisgirė program shares her impressions.

The producer does not hide the fact that the search for objects and planning routes with the equipment began in the fall of last year, so the COVID-19 virus pandemic that affected the entire country in the spring did not significantly destroy the plans. Fortunately, filming, according to the woman, began when quarantine conditions began to decrease.

“This situation has greatly affected the routine of life, work and plans of all of us, but even with that in mind, this summer I see an even greater relevance of the project. Lithuania really has a place to go, what to see , what to discover and, of course, where to eat deliciously. Also, traveling abroad broadens your horizons and getting to know another country is a wonderful experience, but while traveling the world is not very safe and you want new impressions and tastes, you do not have to visit thousands of kilometers: Lithuania is infinitely beautiful and new sensations can be felt in an undiscovered corner of the country, “says V.Skaisgirė.

Culinary tourism is almost the fastest growing type of tourism in the world. Frequent tourists try to get to know the country, its culture and customs through food, but the creative team at “Maisto kelias” raises another question: what do you know about your country and the true roots of Lithuanian cuisine?

“These trips around Lithuania are becoming a tradition for our entire team. We all know that summer will be dedicated to work that always surprises with new tastes, locations and impressions. Our country is beautiful and rich in its culture, so, as in previous seasons, the third will be tested with regional dishes, known with the best restaurants in the country, the most beautiful corners of Lithuania and authentic regional dishes, whose recipes will be shared by a trio of presenters. reveals producer V. Skaisgirė.

“Maisto kelias” – on June 27, Saturdays at 9:30, on television TV3.
