NVSC: a woman who was diagnosed with coronavirus only six times died in the Klaipeda region

“Yesterday a report was received from Klaipeda University Hospital that a resident of the Kretinga district belonging to the age group of 81 to 90 years had died,” said Ginreta Megelinskienė, Chief of the Division of Infectious Disease Management, on Monday. from the Vilnius Department of NVSC, at a press conference.

The woman had comorbidities.

On June 10, it was reported that this patient from the Salantai Nursing Hospital had previously been treated at the Kartena Hospital.

In early May, the woman was taken to Klaipeda University Hospital for treatment for non-coronavirus related illnesses. From there, she was returned to Salantai Nursing Hospital, but when her health deteriorated, the woman was transferred to Klaipeda Mariner Hospital and soon transferred to Kretinga Hospital.

Planning to return her to the Salantai Nursing Hospital and retest, the result was positive.

According to Monday’s data, 1,773 cases of coronavirus were detected in Lithuania, COVID-19 still affects 258 people, and 1,429 recovered.

76 people died from coronavirus, and another 10 people died from other causes.
