If approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, from March 16 to April 1, the movement of people will be restricted in the following municipalities: Biržai district, Klaipėda city, Kupiškis district, Marijampolė, Neringa, Panevėžys city, Panevėžys district Panevėžys, Šalčininkai district, Širvintos district, Švenčionys district, Trakai district, Utena district, Varėna district, Vilnius city, Vilnius district, Visaginas municipalities.

People are prohibited from entering and leaving these municipalities.

The Government also intends to remove Alytus city and district municipalities, Kaunas city and district, Šiauliai city and district from the list of circular municipalities between which movement is possible.

If the ministers agree, it will not be possible to move between the municipalities bordering the city and the district.

Previously, the government approved the lifting of traffic restrictions as of March 16, but later it was decided to leave the restrictions in some municipalities where the situation is worse.

Last week, the Government Emergency Commission (WESC) proposed to leave movement restrictions in municipalities, where the number of patients in 14 days is 100,000. the population is over 500.

However, the government is tightening procedures.

According to a presentation by the Ministry of Health (SAM) to the Government, it is proposed to leave movement restrictions between municipalities where the indicator is more than 200 cases – people are prohibited from entering and leaving these municipalities, except for the exceptions applied so far.

Monday’s meeting is also scheduled to allow people to visit not only museums, but also zoos and botanical gardens.

Restrictions on the flow of visitors should be ensured here, – the maximum number of visitors allowed at one time is calculated on the basis of the public area, so that there is at least 20 square meters per visitor.
