V.Ąžuolas was able to go on vacation to Egypt, or more precisely, to the resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, reported 15 minutes reader.

The deputy member of Seimas assured that he did not attend the plenary session of parliament this Wednesday due to health problems. But later V.Ąžuolas himself confirmed that he had gone to Egypt with his wife for personal reasons. The Seimas Board did not give permission.

Even before the start of the Seimas BFK session, the remotely united MPs arrested V.Ąžuolas.

When the conservative Antanas Čepononis asked the Social Democrat Liudas Jonaitis if he would go to Vilnius next week because the Seimas sessions would be held remotely, he replied that he would be in the capital and working from the cabinet.

“I don’t know if I’ll go to Turkey or maybe Egypt. I’m still thinking,” said A. Čepononis.

“It is too early for Turkey,” Jonaitis reacted.

“No, I promise to leave during the meeting,” A. Čepononis replied to V.Ąžuols.

After the Seimas BFK session, the chairman of the commission, Mykolas Majauskas, asked if V.Ąžuolas had joined.

The mysterious “peasant” finance minister turned on the camera and greeted his colleagues.

“It just came to our attention then. Perhaps you would show what’s outside the window?” Asked M. Majauskas.

“It is warm, beautiful, the sun,” said V.Ąžuolas in Egypt.

M. Majauskas went on to say that he does not care where his colleagues join the committee meeting: from the Maldives or the Moon, if they are ready for the meeting. It is said that if the members of the Seimas fulfill their duties honestly, they can also work from Sharm el-Sheikh.

“It is important that we all work to obey the law. There is no provision in the Statute of the Seimas that requires to be physically connected remotely from the territory of Lithuania, and the sessions are public, that is, I think we can boldly start our session. It is true that today there is a closed topic on the agenda: Lithuania’s position on the affairs of the European Union (EU). And here a cybersecurity problem already arises ”, explained the president of Seimas BFK.

According to M. Majauskas, according to the Statute of the Seimas, the confidentiality of the session must be guaranteed.

The politician turned to V.Ąžuolas and asked if he could make sure the connection was secure by connecting from a third country.

“Perhaps it is better to disconnect, it will be safer,” replied the peasant.

Matas Maldeikis, a member of the Seimas BFK, wished a colleague who was resting in Egypt a good tan, said that everyone with white jealousy now would like to go to the Maldives or elsewhere.

“It just came to our attention then. We have EU problems, maybe he will just come back as a member of the committee, then get acquainted, and this is precisely where the Seimas Council and the Ethics Commission have to deal with these problems. We have precedent from Lino King, who has put these issues quite clearly and there are no very important issues here.

A precedent is being set on the outskirts of the BFK that allows one or the other to attend meetings. Let the other institutions decide, and we are simply not the ones who make those decisions and set a precedent. We wish a good sunbath, a good complex lunch and let’s just disconnect and let the committee member rest more, I think, “said M. Maldeikis.

Let’s wish for a good sunbath, a good lunch and let’s just unplug and let the committee member rest more, I think so.

M. Majauskas proposed to postpone consideration of issues related to European affairs until next week, when all members of the Seimas BFK will be in Lithuania.

Vytautas Gapšys, a member of the Seimas BFK, stated that he saw no problem with V. enžuolas, who had joined from Egypt, was participating in the committee meeting.

“It just came to our attention then. Maybe that security of our computer can tell you how it has to connect there through a VPN or something like that. And that is. And the fact that it is in another place, but fulfills its functions, is great, ”he thinks.
