Maldives is one of the first countries in the world to open up to tourists after the quarantine. According to local authorities, their islands are perfectly adapted to prevent the virus from spreading here. All tourists must pass a negative coronavirus test, locals are prohibited from migrating between islands, and the movement of tourists is also restricted. And for added security, all kinds of additional controls have been designed.
But let’s start from the beginning: I want to tell you the only thing that is the international airport of the capital of Maldives, Malé. One of the few airports in the world with almost no cars around.
The first and most important question after landing in the Maldives is whether or not you brought alcohol with you. And this is not a joke, but something very serious, because tourists cannot fly a single bottle to these exotic islands. No beer, no wine, much less something stronger.

Of course, if the tourist still tried and took a risk, and customs found a bottle, no one will deport him from the islands, but you will temporarily confiscate the alcohol. Airport officials will stay with him and give him a special token that he can redeem on the way home.
When you leave the airport, you will not be greeted by a wheeled vehicle, nor a taxi, nor Uber, nor a common car will arrive. You will be directed to one side or the other. What does this mean? On one side there are boats, all kinds of boats, boats, and on the other side, small planes that land directly in the water.

Who will take you to the chosen Maldives depends on the distance and your financial capacity. If the island continues, you will probably have to fly a seaplane, if you are closer you will sail with a boat. Transportation from the airport to the tourist islands is usually included in the price. Well, if you haven’t booked anything in advance and you want to choose a place, you have a lot of money and you can afford to choose anything; prices will vary. A private boat will cost a company of four to five people from one hundred to three hundred euros an hour. The seaplane will be more expensive: about five hundred euros for the flight to the chosen point.
“As soon as you get on the ship, forget about all your worries”, are the words of the Maldivian captains, and they are absolutely right. The further the island is from the airport, the less problems of civilization and daily life. In these islands there is no problem, at least that is what those who work in the field of tourism try to paint.

There are several hundred tourist islands in the Maldives, but I chose the name Adaaran Prestige Vadoo, as the name suggests, it is a “prestigious” place. It is completely private and very important in the Maldives. This is where the water cabin craze began.
On those islands, a large group of people work to make you feel like the rulers of the world, millionaires, well, just omnipotent. If you are modest, you will probably change a bit after traveling to a place like this.

When the hotel manager came to see me, he handed me his card, introduced himself, said if I need something, call him anytime, then another assistant came, brought internet codes, then a third assistant came, said if I needed something in the beach area, he told us it will do, and the icing on the cake has become a gentleman who has introduced himself as a commander and said he will be my personal assistant the entire time he is here. I have not experienced such consent anywhere else. A personal assistant who can do anything you ask of him. Bracelets are also used on the island, as is customary in these types of hotels, only here they are called “ultra mega all-inclusive”.
The expensive islands of the Maldives make sure that guests never take out their wallets during the entire visit and feel like they are on an island where nothing is limitless. Eat all you want, dive all you want, get massages as much as you want and even drink as much as you want.
In such private and tourist resorts, the dry law does not apply. Their logic is as follows: there are no locals here, only tourists, so they are allowed to drink alcohol. And nobody regulates the amount of intoxicants, because vacationers must feel real.
