The Prienai CBet team, which has already started preparations for the Hoptrans 3 × 3 tournament, has chosen the top five to represent the team.

Dominykas Domarkas, Triumphed in the summer of 2019 with the team of Lithuanian students at the European University Trio Basketball Championship Tomás Zdanavičius and in 2018 they won the LTEAM 3 × 3 tournament and became the Lithuanian champions Justin Jogmin, Evaldas Džiaugys and Just Nausėdas.

“We know each other well. We agree well not only on the basketball court, but we are also friends outside of it, so I think it will give an easier boost to play and feel for each other,” said the team member. J. Jogminas.

The 22cm and 22cm tall striker competed in the National Basketball League (NKL), the Marijampol “Suduvas” team last season. During the game, coming from Naujoji Akmenė, the basketball player scored an average of 10.9 points, recovered 5.7 balls, made 2.3 assists and accumulated 15.2 profit points.

Last year, J. Jogmin also became the winner of the placement competition for the World Junior Basketball 3 × 3 Championship.

J.Nausėdas and E.Džiaugys, Lithuanian champions and 3 × 3 national team along with him, also competed in the second strongest Lithuanian basketball league last season.

J.Nausėdas, a 276 cm tall young man from Šilutė, was recognized as the best defensive basketball player of the NKL championship in the 2017-2018 season, and last season he defended the honor of the Mažeikiai team “Ereliai” and obtained an average 9 points. after 2.3 effective passes per meeting.

Meanwhile, E. Džiaugys, 236 cm tall and 23 years old, competed in “Šilutė” and scored 5.9 points, grabbed 3.2 balls and made 1.2 assists per game. In the 2018-2019 season, Raseiniškis was chosen as the most improved basketball player of the NKL season, and in the 2019 3 × 3 world basketball championship he joined the Lithuanian 3 × 3 national team.

The team will also be represented by T. Zdanavičius, 23, 203 cm tall, for whom professional 3 × 3 basketball is not new either: last year, the striker triumphed with the team of Lithuanian students in the European University Championship . In the 2019-2020 season, the Vilnius player competed in the North Macedonian Basketball League, where he scored an average of 13.9 points per game, recovered 6.1 balls and made 1.3 assists.

“3v3 is a specific sport, so they (teammates – ed.) They have experience is excellent, it will definitely be easier than that, but the whole point will be in the game. 3v3 is not enough to connect several good players, they need to play, play together and I think we can really achieve something, “said T. Zdanavičius.

The fifth member of the team is D. Domarkas, who knows the fans of the Lithuanian Basketball League well and recently signed a contract with the team. For the 28-year-old 192-cm-tall defender, it will be a whole new experience, as the basketball player has yet to participate in professional 3 × 3 tournaments.

Kaunas, who played in the fourth season of the LKL Championship, competed on the Pasvalys Pieno Žvaigždės team last year and scored an average of 4.9 points during the meeting, rebounded 1.6 balls and made 1.9 assists.

The Hoptrans 3 × 3 tournament will start on July 3. and will consist of three stages of selection and final. Tournament prize fund – 74 thousand. All meetings will be broadcast live on TV6.
