“Today, the National Center for Public Health received information about the death of a patient at the Klaipeda University Hospital. The person died yesterday around 10.40 pm and belonged to the age group 51-60,” the specialist told reporters on Friday. .

“On May 28, the person returned from Sweden by ferry to Estonia and then by car in Lithuania. Already feeling the symptoms, an ambulance was taken to Klaipeda University Hospital. The diagnosis was made on May 29,” he said.

According to her, the deceased did not belong to risk groups.

“The person did not belong to risk groups either by age or by accompanying diseases,” said R. Lingienė.

The National Center for Public Health announced around 74 deaths from coronavirus on Friday, as well as ten more deaths from people infected with coronavirus from other causes.

R. Lingienė informed BNS on Friday that a new death would be included in the statistics on Saturday.
