The four hosts have chosen seven players each in the Eastern and Western conferences to complete the list of 24 participants in this year’s All-Star game.
In the East, TNT experts unanimously agreed on four backups, including Domantas Sabonis.
Sh. O’Neal, Ch.Barkley, K. Smith and E.Johnson, who made their All-Star debuts last year, are seen among the stars of the Eastern Conference alongside Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics), James Harden ( Brooklyn Nets) and Julius Randle (New York Knicks).
For the other players, the opinion of the TNT stations was different.
Shaq, Charkley and Smith would like to see Ben Simmons (Philadelphia 76ers) on the Eastern Conference bench, Shaq, Charkley and Johnson voted for Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls led by Artich Karnishov, after two of the four hosts they elected Jayson Tatums (Boston Celtics) and Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks), while Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat) and Tobias Harris (Philadelphia 76ers) received just one vote each.
In the Western Conference, the four also unanimously agreed on four basketball players: Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers), Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz), Paul George (Los Angeles Clippers) and Devin Booker (Phoenix Dog ”).
D.Sabonis is averaging 21.5 points on the Indiana Pacers team this season, bouncing 11.6 balls and making 5.7 assists.
His team with 15 wins and 14 losses in the East ranks fourth.
Ch.Barkley spared no kind words for Lithuania when he visited the website of famous journalist Bill Simmons. When B. Simmons mentioned D. Sabonis in it, the legendary NBA basketball player did not spare the applause from the Lithuanians.
