While the new songs mature in the studios, Voldemars presents a video of his original song “Švyturys”. And the appearance of the clip is really very colorful and worthy of the movie script.
PHOTO GALLERY. Voldemars Petersons presents a video that was stolen during filming: when you fail, you fail at full capacity
It all started in August 2020. The Voldemars, as usual, performed for passersby on Šventoji avenue. At the time, he was singing a sensual song and he was closing his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he saw that a large crowd of angry and smiling people had gathered in front of him, and a young woman was dancing nearby, and he did very well.
“I felt so much sympathy for that unexpected performance that everything became a magical and seamless harmony,” shares the interpreter with a pleasant memory.
Following the performance, to a standing ovation, Voldemars approached the charming dancer and offered to film a video of his latest song. Gabriela Ravoit (the name of a dancer) gladly accepted and that is how the creative process began.
Since the singer befriends many fields of art, he took it upon himself to direct and film the clip. He chose locations to film such as the “Belmontaas” entertainment and recreation center, the wonderful old town of Vilnius, and did not forget his hometown, Kaunas, either. It is with the images of this city that the musical clip begins.
The filming of the video lasted three days. True, without incident and without incident. On the first day, while filming on Pilies Street in Vilnius Old Town, Voldemar’s new smartphone, which he had just bought a couple of months ago, was masterfully stolen from his pocket.
“I spent that afternoon with the officials explaining the circumstances of the theft and handling the insurance documents, and finally, when the heavy rain started, the work had to be stopped. I took Gabriel home on the outskirts of Vilnius and when I turned around it started to get dark, the navigation showed a strange route, in the dark I had to drive through narrow forest roads until I finally got lost in front of an empty meadow. It turns out that I had marked the route on foot in navigation. “When you don’t succeed, you don’t succeed at full capacity,” Voldemars laughed.
But this time everything was resolved: the artist spent the night in Vilnius with friends and in a couple of days finished filming the clip, and the ban changed the phone to a new one. After filming the clip, promising dancer Gabriela shared that she only met Voldemar through gambling. That night in Šventoji, when the boy was playing, while passing through the field, he bet with his mother that he would dare to approach and dance in front of everyone. The girl won the bets, thus this wonderful joint project was born.
“A person who engages in any activity from the heart, takes it to all and does not believe that what others will say is like that lighthouse at night, inspiring, motivating, dispelling fears. So those people always want to continue to learn from them and become that bright light for others. It is symbolized in the video by Gabriela’s dancing character. I hope compatriots like the song and the clip – opened the artist.
