Of course, in my subjective opinion, the best in Lithuania and in the world is the Užkalnis hamburger, created, perfected and blessed by me, which is produced in our country by a chain of restaurants, but I will not mention it, because then there would be a conflict of interest.

In my opinion the best of the burgers, which I do not produce, was from “Bučer” in Vilnius (let’s see how the cleverly useless word, foreigners, has become a name and what you have for them now, from English. “Butcher “, which means butcher. It’s been a long time since those bright days and the quarantine came, and now I say: let’s try it, maybe they can take a burger home, because many burgers still suffer a lot from transportation (and, I must say, the cheaper and more massive , the more they suffer). And at the same time, I mean, let’s order all kinds of other products from them, why don’t we feel sorry for the money?

At the same time, I want to explain why cheap burgers suffer the most with travel. When the burger contains cheap minced meat and its small quantity, the taste sensation is offset by the abundance of sauces – there is such a network in Lithuania, where everything is dripping with mayonnaise sauces. People Like It: Delicious (and really, greasy sauce, like any fat, adds a sense of fragrance that receptors respond to, who really doesn’t care how good or expensive that delicacy is). But when a hamburger contains a lot of sauce, or a lot of tomatoes, they do two things: they cool the meat very quickly, which loses much of its flavor when it is warm, but it also moistens the bun, which becomes a moist sponge cake. .

The Bučeris burger (in the Vilnius Panorama shopping center, although they have another point in the town of Ogmios) costs 9.90 EUR, which is probably one of the most expensive burgers in Lithuania, but for that money, in addition to the delivery and tips, the restaurant can guarantee high quality and use really expensive and good tasting meat for the burger. This hamburger shaped burger was juicy and had a crunchy taste, and although the trip didn’t help the sandwich, the burger when it arrived at our house was still the best burger in Lithuania.

We also ordered the famous Bučer Caesar Salad (this restaurant in Panorama, by the way, combines two: Bučer and César), which are made with a wonderful Caesar sauce, which the restaurant itself makes according to its own recipe, and the sauce is so good that we buy it every time we get ready to make that salad, even when we live on the beach, we bring its large stock, and no, there is no advertising here. Bucer sauce is the best caesarean section sauce I have ever had anywhere in the world, including the best restaurants in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago. Now I am writing and sweating saliva. And the salads themselves (€ 10.90) were great, tired, messy and apparently unaffected by the trip. And the tiger prawns were skillfully stacked separately. Here’s a smart delivery sign: Don’t mix things up that don’t need to be mixed before the trip.

Visually, but not to taste, the trip was affected by lasagna with veal (€ 8.90). This is a dish that is not easy to remove from the oven, much less carry, without ruining the external image. The lasagna was excellent, and the high-quality minced meat comes in handy here: juicy, with a pleasantly sweet tomato sauce (fear not, never be afraid to sweeten the tomato sauce with brown sugar, especially if you don’t) have tomatoes extra Campania sweets, otherwise the tomato acid will be too strong). I still think that I am making an even better lasagna, the only downside is that it is a dish that you cannot stop eating and therefore it consumes a lot of calories that then need to be burned in no more than 20,000 steps, but with an extra ten thousand . Not the euro, of course, but the steps.

The rack of lamb (€ 20.90) was perfect, young lamb, perfectly cut, perfectly packaged and arriving perfectly, which is perfect. Have I repeated the word “perfect” enough times? But of course, lamb is easier to carry than a burger, and a well-arrived burger certainly deserves high praise, as does the lamb fries, which also didn’t shoot and held up well for the ride.

All food, with delivery and tip for the courier, costs € 71.10, and that’s a very reasonable, moderate price for a fantastic brunch for two picky people who are very happy together (seven years soon, and yes, wicked, you won. ” t, anger, skip the post – here’s a mandatory note on Valentine’s Day).
