Starting Monday, almost 300 stores will open their doors in the commercial city “Urmas”

According to the report, the resumption of work will mainly include clothing stores. But furniture, flooring, auto parts, sports, beauty items, curtain stores will also open their doors. There will be a sewing shop and a bookstore. In total, about 1,000 people will be able to go back to work.

“Currently, the most important thing is the clothing trade, for both sellers and buyers. Traders were ready for the cold season produce, but they were unable to sell almost anything. Therefore, it is very good that at least some of them can open before the end of winter. With little time remaining, they will look to sell them during this period. This is also important to buyers, because clothing is the kind of thing you want to buy live: after inspection, after measurement.

Now that there is snow, children’s winter clothing is also very important to properly enjoy the joys of winter. We also see from customer inquiries that it is important to buy sportswear for individual sports, and those who go to hot countries are looking for swimwear, ”said Dovilė Lengvenienė, marketing manager of Urmas business city.

According to her, as soon as they found out about the permission to open, the merchants ran to their stores: to manipulate, to store goods.

“It is no secret that the situation is very complicated, not only materially, but also morally. Many of our merchants are small business representatives who have a special connection with their customers and greatly appreciate their work. As a result, this forced suspension was very difficult for them. We hope that we will soon have a situation where all of our merchants can open their doors in accordance with the established security requirements. And we pay special attention to safety requirements (disinfection, wearing masks, keeping distances) throughout the pandemic, ”said D. Lengvenienė.

The newly opened stores are subject to customer traffic restrictions: 20 m2 M. m of area per visitor. And if the store is smaller, it does not serve more than one customer at a time.

According to the information, Urme will open not only stores with direct entry from the outside, but also one in each sales room from Monday. In this case, the entrance to the store is equated to a direct entrance from the outside. In total, almost 300 points of sale will meet in the city.

There will continue to be places of commerce and services in the commercial city, whose activities were not prohibited before: food stores, take-out food, Kaunas central market, parcel services, pharmacies, currency exchange offices.
