The four finalists for the Citadele King Mindaugas Cup (Citadele KMT) are here. From February 13 to 14 in Panevėžys, it will be clear who will become the Citadele KMT champions. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there will be no fans in the arena, but the organizers promise a truly spectacular show for everyone in the house.
Only team basketball players and club staff members, tournament organizers and journalists will visit the Panevėžys Cido Arena during the fourth weekend of the final.
However, it is this event that will be aimed at the fans who sit in front of the television screens; the organizers have found new alternative solutions for spectators to sit next to their team and basketball players, close to their fans.
Throughout the weekend, fans will be able to support their beloved teams directly from the largest LED screen in the history of Lithuanian sporting events: its size reaches 160 square meters.
According to Linas Zareckas-Choras, director of the event organization company MadeMyDay, which is preparing for the decisive weekend of Citadele KMT, the Cido Arena in Panevėžys will be turned into a large television studio from February 13 to 14, which will make the event “live” not only for the fans but also for the basketball players themselves.
“We will do a big TV studio with the arena. It will be the largest LED screen in the history of Lithuanian sporting events. We want the spectators to feel like they are at the event and the players to feel like they have fans at their around ”, the organizers revealed their plans.
During the game, fans will be able to connect to the virtual fan zone in Microsoft Teams and be visible on the larger LED screen.

Zareck-Chorus promises that viewers of the four Citadele KMT finalists will feel as if they are watching the National Basketball Association (NBA) playoff round in the Orlando bubble.
The big screen will also be used for the presentation of teams and players, for the various competitions that will take place during the weekend.
“This screen will bring the viewer as close as possible to his team,” promised the organizer.
There will be five matches during the Citadele KMT final four: two semi-finals, the small final and the final, as well as the Queen’s Cup match. It is true that this is far from everything that awaits the fans.
On the last day (February 14), a three-point contest will be held. Also known and recognized snipers in Europe will participate, such as Artūras Milaknis and Andrew Goudelock.
Viewers will be entertained throughout the weekend by two exclusive guests, renowned representatives of the comedy genre, whose scenes created especially for the Citadele KMT tournament will be seen by the public before each match.
While watching the deciding match, viewers will be able to participate in the “Prototo” contest – it will be directed directly from the “Cido” arena by Paulius Ambrazevičius, and everyone who wants to can participate by downloading the “Prototo” “app.
Citadele Bank together with LKL organized a new competition specially designed for this tournament: every day, the lucky five will receive special prizes, and on the last day of the tournament one of the spectators will receive the main prize: the latest version of Apple. Smartphone Iphone 12 Pro 256 Gb.
True, the prizes will have to make an effort for the participants, or more precisely, how to turn their heads.
Every day (February 5-14), the Facebook and Instagram accounts of citadele.lt/kmt and Citadele Bank and Betsafe-LKL will post tracks, a total of 5 per day.
Each clue has a correct answer: a 4-digit code can be hidden in a photo, a Morse code message, a math problem, and more. Participants will need to be careful and try to figure out what numbers are encoded in the clues for that particular day.
Fans will need to enter the code on the page citadel.lt/kmt; After entering the numbers, participants will immediately know if they have been able to guess.
During the fourth weekend of the Citadele KMT final, the Cido Arena will comply with security requirements: people visiting the arena will be required to test for COVID-19, the facilities will be disinfected and protective equipment will be used.
