After a break of more than a year, team basketball player Marius Grigonis visited the Kaunas Žalgiris # ŽalgirisOnAir website.
Colones are launched this season
Žalgirietis was one of the first guests of this network: the defender became only the fourth interlocutor in December 2019, and now he participated in episode 38.
At the “Žalgiris” stadium, Rytis Kazlauskas and Kipras Serpauskas chanted one of this season’s team leaders for just over an hour, during which Grigonis spoke mainly about the current affairs of this season.
Until recently, Žalgiris had to face an unpleasant situation: during the Euroleague’s double week in Russia, there were problems at one of the airports. The basketball player was trapped and even interrogated for a time.
“It turns out that the passport was somehow stamped on the wrong visa. We called all sports ministries and embassies to let us in. We spent about six hours there, we went to question ourselves. I had to answer the question: what will I do if the war starts? He did not believe that I was a basketball player, he did not believe in leadership ”, – a resident of Kaunas recalled one of the most memorable trips of this season.
In this Euroleague season, Grigonis is not only the most productive and useful basketball player in “Žalgiris”. He also snatched the victory from the Kaunas team twice with decisive shots.
“Both pitches were somewhat skewed and ugly, but they brought victories. During such stupid pitches, when I joke in training, others laugh and say that I’m fooling around, but I always like to throw up. I’m a fool who does foolishness.” Grigonis laughed.
He also spent a lot of time on the web with the Frenchman Joffrey Lauvergne, who recently extended his contract with the club. According to the interlocutor, in Kaunas he became a real replacement for the former resident of Žalgiris and his good friend Leo Westermann.
“As soon as he arrived, he became Leo’s replacement. They are similar, they speak with the same accent. He sat in the locker room and started talking like he knew us, ”the 26-year-old defender said of the Frenchman.
The # ŽalgirisOnAir website talks to Grigonis:
