What Eurovision will look like this year will be clear in early March. And so far, depending on the situation of the pandemic, possible scenarios are foreseen. The first, the usual “Eurovision” with a large audience in the room, has already been abandoned. Eurovision organizers announce that they are planning the event according to the second scenario envisaged for the moment. According to this plan, everyone who attends events in the arena will have to maintain set distances. This means that the event will take place in the arena with no or fewer spectators than anticipated. The contestants are scheduled to travel to Rotterdam and perform live. But if there are artists who are unable to attend due to travel restrictions or other COVID-19 related reasons, their pre-recorded performances will be shown.
Scenarios 3 and 4 have not yet been ruled out. The third option, “Eurovision”, will be broadcast live from Rotterdam, but the performances of all contestants will be shown from the recordings, none of which will take place in the Netherlands. The fourth option is a totally virtual Eurovision. Recorded performances of all artists will be shown. This option is similar to the third, but strictly without spectators who can see the event in the arena.
On the last night, all the artists performed the songs live during the live broadcast. This time there was no commission on the study. As it consisted of a larger team of experts in the final, they watched the performances on the screens and connected to the broadcast remotely.

This year, the National Festival of the Eurovision Song Contest, due to the current situation in the country, is being filmed without spectators and in accordance with strict security requirements, in order to protect both the performers themselves and the team working in the project. Depending on the situation of the pandemic, there are four possible scenarios for Eurovision to occur: normal to remote.
Members of the commission include music producer Stanislavas Stavickis-Stano, composers Jievaras Jasinskis and Vytautas Bikus, singer Ieva Narkutė, radio and television presenter Gerūta Griniūtė, performer Aistė Smilgevičiūtė and music critic Ramūnas Zilnys.
The first appeared on stage Titus and Ben, the boys performed a sensual song.
“The decision to participate in the selection of” Eurovision “was made by a rather unexpected song, which, in our opinion, is strong enough for this competition. There is also a long period of time without being on stage and an incentive to loved ones. It turned out to be a good opportunity to get back on stage, because right now it is very difficult to perform somewhere in public, “the artists said of their decision to perform at Eurovision.
The second took the stage MartynaAccording to the presenters, the girl was born on stage and her serenity fascinates more than one. She is the youngest participant in the selection.
The third to appear was singer-songwriter Audrius Petrauskas performing on stage. Gebrasy to name.
And while many have only discovered it this year, the 26-year-old is trying his luck in competition for the fourth time. This year, with his song “Where’d You Wanna Go?”, He aims to captivate viewers and commissioning with simplicity and allow listeners to immerse themselves in memories.
“I don’t know if I planned to participate so many times, this is how I managed it. After the third participation, the motivation was lost a bit, so I took a break, because I realized that to expect better results you have to change a lot of things radically ”, he has said before.
Gebrasy’s song “Where’d You Wanna Go?” It has been heard on the YouTube platform by more than 162,000 people. together. The boy assured himself that he did not expect such success.
For the fourth time, the composer and performer, a participant in several television projects, is trying his luck in the selection. Voldemars Petersons He presented the self-created and produced song “Never again will you fall in love.”
“I think the beauty of life is that we never know what to expect tomorrow. “I said to myself, ‘No Eurovision this year,’ and in a few days I’ll be sitting down and writing a song for this competition,” smiles V. Petersons.
The fifth appeared on stage Avoid Cololo and performed the song “Without Secrets”: “It was difficult for me to write the lyrics for this song. I value my work in a very self-critical way, and I am also afraid to open up and tell my experiences not to a close person, but to speak of a listener that sometimes I do not know at all “.
“I believe in Lithuanian, because the Lithuanian language is so beautiful, the words expressed in it only strengthen my musical emotion. You don’t want to lose this feeling and not let others who speak Lithuanian feel it. Our language is lyrical, singing, rhythmic. I want to show it first to those who pay, and then to Europe. I think that to have an elegant and modern musical sound, it is not necessary to choose another language if you know how to use yours well enough ”, says Evita Cololo.
The last group to go on stage “The Roop”. The band’s new song “Discoteque” successfully wins the sympathy of the public. Not only does the song garner the most views on YouTube, it is also rapidly gaining popularity on other platforms like Spotify.
The members of The Roop said that they composed a song full of nostalgic sound, thinking about dance and inner liberation. These two elements perfectly describe all the group’s works: their unique sound and style.
On Fire has shown how strongly music and dance affect people. This combination liberates. There is no man who does not know how to dance, he is innate. Dancing is also a tool that heals wounds. Even nodding is already a dance – said Vaidotas Valiukevičius, the leader of The Roop, with a smile.
At Discoteque we are talking about inner liberation. We often say that we are free and we live in a free world. But we have most of the limitations within us. So with this song and move, we want to get rid of the fear of everyone inside who has too much criticism to look weird. Sometimes we don’t want to accept our body, we even compete with our attractiveness. “
The uniqueness of the song is also revealed by the somewhat unusual lead line of the melody. It is reminiscent of the old Lithuanian folk songs. “We interpreted the suffix of the piece in staccato form, if we changed it to legato, the motif of the traditional songs would be very clear. We have adapted the sound of folk music to modern taste, ”says V. Valiukevičius about the structure of the song.
Viewers could vote for the song they liked the most by calling or sending short messages to the phone number 1669 (the price of a call or message is 0.60 euros). The organizers of the national team recall that a maximum of five votes can be cast from a mobile phone number at night. Part of the funds raised for spectator calls and short messages will go to the artist or group that won the national team.
In order not to encourage the telephone voting competition, the results of the audience voting will also be announced only at the end of the show.
