1,579 people were isolated in the last day, a total of 67,509 people are currently in isolation, including people confirmed with COVID-19, reported the National Center for Public Health (NVSC).
Cases in which the circumstances of people’s infection are unclear – epidemiological studies have shown that people did not go abroad, they did not communicate with confirmed COVID-19 cases – 143 are currently registered.
New outbreaks have been recorded in Klaipėda city kindergartens “Čiauškutė” and “Small Klaipėda Lyceum”, where a total of three cases of COVID-19 disease have been confirmed.
After assessing the epidemiological situation, on Wednesday the Klaipėda Department of the NVSC prepared a presentation to the Klaipėda City Municipal Administration on the introduction of a regime that restricts the spread of infections in the “Little Klaipėda Lyceum” kindergarten.
A new outbreak has also been registered in Šiauliai “Pasaka” nursery-kindergarten, where COVID-19 disease has been confirmed in two employees in recent days. A preventive screening of kindergarten staff for COVID-19 was organized and a regimen that limits the spread of infections was implemented at the institution.
An outbreak has been recorded in the Šiauliai “Bangelė” kindergarten (“Owls”, “Dwarfs” groups), where six cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the last week. The facility has a treatment that limits the spread of infections.
A new outbreak has been registered at the Šiauliai City Municipality Education Center, where a total of six employees of a unit are currently confirmed with the infection.
Another new outbreak was registered in a sewing company operating in the Radviliškis district, where the COVID-19 disease is currently confirmed in six employees. 35 exposed individuals were identified and isolated. The activities of the company were temporarily suspended, all the premises of the sewing company were disinfected.
On Wednesday, a new outbreak was registered in a furniture manufacturing company operating in Kazlų Rūda. The infection was confirmed in four workers.
Outbreaks continue at the Legailiai nursing home in Biržai district, where the infection was confirmed Wednesday for seven residents and two employees, and at the Skemai social care home in Rokiškis district, where two cases of the COVID-19 disease.
Eight COVID-19 cases recorded Wednesday are related to the outbreak at Alytus Correctional Facility. All people are convicts serving time.
Eight other cases of coronavirus infection are estimated to be related to the ongoing outbreak at the furniture company Jonava. In total, more than 30 COVID-19 cases have been associated with the outbreak.
In addition, outbreak-related cases were reported at the Jonava Polytechnic School, the Kaunas Šančiai School Multifunctional Center, the Rukla Refugee Reception Center, the Kaunas Juvenile Detention Center and Correctional Institution.
There have also been cases of the COVID-19 disease, associated with outbreaks in a construction company in Marijampolė, a meat industry company in Šakiai district, a metal processing company operating in Rokiškis, utility companies in Panevėžys, Šiauliai, a metal processing company in Panevėžys, an oil refinery in Mažeikiai.
