According to Ingrida, there was no need to pay for the courses, but the girls traveled every day from other cities, as well as wasting time and turning down other job offers because they hoped to get a job as a flight attendant.

According to her, the girls finally realized that it was naive to wait for flights during the winter with a rampant coronavirus. So they came to terms with unrealized dreams.

“However, 4 days after our layoffs, the company placed an ad again looking for employees and inviting them for training. And now we can no longer believe the sad scenario. As the company mentions in good words. It turns out beautiful promises that the machine spins every month. People are accepted and fired for no logical reasons. Do you say yes everywhere? Perhaps. But that shouldn’t be the case.

After all, every day for a whole month, people go to courses and think that this is their dream job. They go through their heads to do everything right, but after a month, future employees become superfluous. And I speak not only for myself, but for everyone the company has misled. At the beginning of this selection phase, a service contract is signed with all candidates, in which the terms of service and obligations of both parties are discussed, and only then does the training phase begin.

Despite the fact that a contract has been signed, it does not offer the candidate any guarantees that they will successfully complete the training and start flying. The company operates charter flights and serves government stars, commercial delegations, sports, culture and entertainment from around the world. Therefore, the requirements for flight attendants are particularly high ”, commented the company representative.

According to her, it is natural that due to the very high quality standards of the company’s services, some candidates do not complete this selection stage and do not start flying.

“It just came to our attention then. We finished the selection process with two candidates. Other candidates have successfully completed all stages of the training and have either started working in the company or are still awaiting the scheduled practical training.

The selection that is currently being organized is aimed at candidates who have no experience as flight attendants and have nothing to do with the selections in December, ”explained V. Vaitiekūnaitė.

Employees must be notified in advance

The State Labor Inspectorate (VDI) explains that if a company provides training to future employees, it must first sign employment contracts with them.
