El Mundo has distributed four-year contract documents signed in 2017.
If Messi had received all the planned allowances, he would have earned up to 555 million euros in these four years.
El Mundo also highlighted that this contract for an Argentine attacker is the largest in the history of the sport.
ESPN sources have confirmed the fact that Messi will take legal action against El Mundo and all Barça employees who may have contributed to the leak.
There are four copies of the contract: one is owned by L. Messi, the other by Barça, the third by La Liga and the fourth by the Cuatrecasas law firm, which is in charge of the footballer’s legal affairs.
Barça has already publicly announced that it will distance itself from the leaks of documents and will take action against those who have done so.
The team’s coach, Ronald Coeman, has no doubt that this was done to the detriment of both Barça and Messi himself.
“There should be more respect for the man who has given himself to Spanish football. We need to find the one who leaked the contract. Such things cannot be made public. There are people who want to hurt us.
If someone leaked through the hip, too bad. “If someone from within the club really did it, then they can’t work here anymore,” R. Koeman said.
