Lithuania came in first place according to bettors’ forecasts following the presentation of this year’s song “The Roop” “Discoteque” on January 22, with which the band will fight for victory in the national team “Eurovision” on February 6th.

Well, France has chosen its representative, who will travel to Rotterdam, already on Saturday, January 30, during the final, which brought together 12 interpreters. Just that day, the country rose to the top spot according to bettors’ forecasts, beating Lithuania.

Who is Barbara Pravi, 27, who has already won the hearts of many listeners with the song “Voila”? She is a French singer and songwriter with Serbian and Iranian roots. It was Barbara’s song “J’imagine” that triumphed at the Children’s Eurovision Song Contest in November 2020. And will B.Pravi himself have a hit at the adult “Eurovision”?

Voila already considers one of her sensual ballads as one of her favorites. A piece close to Barbara herself tells the story of a performer who has been in the shadows for a long time, but who wants to conquer the stage and share her songs with the world. Pravi was inspired by the chanson genre and by artists such as Jacques Brell and Edith Piaf.

Well, we will elect our representative at Eurovision next Saturday 6th February. Roop, Gebrasy, Martyna Jezepčikaitė, Evita Cololo, Voldemars Petersons and Titas and Ben will compete in the final of the national team.

Who knows, maybe then the bettors’ predictions will change again. Last year, Lithuania’s victory was predicted only when it was already clear that the country would be represented at Eurovision by The Roop with the song “On Fire.”

It is true that so far it can be seen that not only Lithuania, but also most of the other countries have not yet chosen who will represent them in the competition, so these forecasts are only preliminary.

Promising that the great Eurovision will take place this year, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has confirmed. There are several possible scenarios for this, which will depend on the epidemiological situation.

The Eurovision events, which were to take place live, will go virtual in Rotterdam, with delegations and members of the press working from their countries.

The final decision on which scenario the competition organizers will decide to implement will be made during the first months of 2021.
