Aurelia recently shared her work with the Facebook group before and after and received a stormy reaction from people. They did not skimp on the girl’s compliments and wondered how she could do that job alone.

“By reading your comments, I really understand that I have to be proud of myself. Thank you ”, wrote Aurelia herself, who did not expect so many reactions and emotions.

“Because when you think about it, what did I do here? After all, a lot of people build, build and maintain houses. ” 15min TO LIFE said A. Giedraitienė.

Sometimes the work seemed too much

The young woman decided to share her experience with others, so that people would have more confidence in her abilities, she would not give up: “Because if you do it, you do it.”

“My first year was terribly long … But I’m very happy about it. I met countless people, got a lot of information. I learned a lot of new jobs.

I myself wanted to leave everything many times. My “amazing” environment said that I would not be successful because I was a woman with long nails and the like.

But my stubbornness surprised even myself. I am the mother of an amazing daughter who couldn’t put her hands down. There was a lot of work. Sometimes it seemed too much.

But from the good side, I learned a lot. I learned how to cover the roof, build scaffolding, reinforce internal and external seams, twist profiles and plaster, fold wool. I learned how to putty, tile, assemble the floor, assemble and connect electrical outlets, make, build and twist furniture myself.

And because of such jobs, I was fascinated by tools, the sound of which had terrified me before ”, A. Giedraitien su shared his experience.

The apartment was bought for business, but it became a home.

As Aurelia herself said, she hired teachers only for specific jobs that she couldn’t do herself. It is about electrical installation, concreting of floors, plumbing, masonry work. The hired craftsmen also maintained the ceiling in one of the rooms.

“It is very difficult to say how I did everything. I don’t even know how I repaired that apartment, ”laughed A. Giedraitienė.

The apartment itself, which has been renovated, has three bedrooms. It was completely abandoned and Aurelia bought it with the intention of doing her business here.

“My hobby is sewing, so I wanted to expand that hobby a bit. But it happened that I broke up and had nowhere to live. Then the idea of setting up a house here occurred to me. For me, that apartment became an impulse not to give up , to do something. I thought he was not afraid of work, why not? “said A. Giedraitienė.

Aurelia says that time was hard and because she was depressed. Then there was everything: insomnia, desire to distance himself from people. And tears. But, on the other hand, this work saved, helped to forget.

The experience of adolescence was helpful

Aurelia is employed, so she only started repairing in her spare time. The house where the woman bought the apartment is on two floors and her apartment is on the second floor. In addition to the need for major home repairs, the roof also had to be repaired. From him began Aurelia.

“Although the roof had to be covered by teachers, they kept lengthening the time and I didn’t want to wait another half year. I did it. The most important thing from the beginning – how to apply the first coat of ruberoid. And it’s easy to put aside, “he said.

The woman searched a lot of information online, read, watched videos. He also benefited from his knowledge as a teenager: “When I was sixteen, I helped a lot with my dad, who worked in construction. There was also a lot of work there. So, I think I had a common understanding. I needed that knowledge ten years later. “

This was followed by work at home. Remove the floor, lay others, lay tiles, roll plasterboard, do all other repair work.

“When making repairs, you need to read a lot, be interested in understanding what is what. I watched a lot of videos on Russian channels, because there they show everything in great detail, ”said Aurelia.

More electrical outlets are better

Aurelia says that everything she has learned can be useful in the future too: “Because everything we do is useful.” After the repair work began, the woman tells her, and the advice of the people who helped her. tips appeared.

And sometimes problems had to be tackled simply. Assume how and where to plan electrical outlets in the house. “More of them is better, so I planned more nests.”

The kitchen furniture was commissioned by Aurelia, and here she made an elegant bed for the bedroom herself.

“I wanted pallet beds. Then I thought: And how will I bring them? Then I made the bed out of several blocks of wood. I also made the cabinet, I made the kitchen table myself ”, said A. Giedraitienė.

Was it something that failed? “Of course. Then during work, and take another. And then I go back to what I didn’t do.

I slept very little. And I worked all the time. There were days when I really wanted to drop everything, there were days when I cried. I cry, but I do, ”Aurelia said.
