“On opening day, when I saw her photo become memorable and rapidly gaining popularity, I quickly decided to replace the doll I had made earlier. He wanted her to be in her inaugural outfit. And I did everything in about seven hours, ”says the doll’s creator.
And he did a great job, even the smallest details of Bernis Sanders’ clothes were repeated on the doll’s clothes. The doll even wears little crochet gloves.
“When I realized that the doll was getting a lot of attention, I started thinking: what am I going to do with it? Will I keep or sell? My friend offered to sell it and donate all proceeds to charity. That ‘s what I did. I put the doll on eBay and within minutes people started bidding, ”says King.
