“We plan to think about all this in detail and then present it to the public. This week, based on the experts’ recommendations, we cannot offer anything more,” added A. Dulkys.
He stressed that a summary of all the proposals that will play and social services, restaurants, the service sector, social gatherings and the organization of cultural and entertainment activities will be presented.
“We plan to get it all out during our two-week milestones,” said the SAM director.
According to the minister, predictions of when at least 200 cases of morbidity could be achieved are not appreciated, but it was expected that in the second half of February this would be possible.
“If we continue to be successful as we do now, there could be fewer than 200 cases of the disease in the second half of February. And what we plan to offer so that we are constantly monitored every two weeks and can provide tools. (…)
Maybe April 1 could no longer be quarantined, or maybe May 1 we could have fewer than 25 cases. But we agree that this is only a prognosis under all conditions that we are going to be successful in vaccination, we plan to start the tests (…) and we hope that the public will consciously support it, ”explained A. Dulkys.
Currently, the quarantine is valid until January 31, but, according to Interior Minister Agnė Bilotaitė, it will be proposed to the Lithuanian Government to extend it until February 28.
It is planned to eliminate the quarantine, depending on the incidence of Covid-19 in the country. Priority will be given to health, education and business exemptions.
