According to the data of the Police Department, a woman was handed over to Klaipėda Hospital from her home in Klaip distritoda district, Klipčiai village, due to a headache one minute after midnight.
The woman, born in 1986, explained that on Friday around 11:10 pm at her home she was beaten by a man born in 1978. The suspect is a prosecutor from the Klaipėda Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
The Attorney General’s Office announced that Attorney General Nida Grunskienė had launched a pre-trial investigation into the prosecutor’s actions.
The investigation is carried out for causing physical pain or a mild health disorder to a relative, for which the Penal Code provides for public works, restriction of freedom, detention or imprisonment of up to two years.
“The incident will also be subject to official inspection,” the prosecutor’s office said.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, personal data is not published to protect the interests of minors, promising to inform about the results of the pre-trial investigation and official inspection and the decisions taken.
