Jurgita Kolyčienė, judge of the Vilnius Regional Court, began to hear the case of the previously convicted (convicted) V. Revuck.
Mr. Revuck is well known to law enforcement officials: his name has been mentioned often in the media since the restoration of independence; made famous by three brothers associated with the criminal world: Algis, Vidas and Romas. The latter was considered the leader of the so-called Gruščikėliai gang, famous for its cruelty. police officers had announced their search. And when one summer day, the criminals learned that A. Revuck, along with other representatives of the criminal world, was having fun at the “Ulonų inn” in Alytus, the officers of the rapid reaction team “Aras” were used to help.
At that time, the arrest operation took place throughout Lithuania: A. Revuck, who did not want to surrender to law enforcement officers at the time Aro’s officers broke into the cafe, shot himself.
Later, it was reported in the media that the Revuck brothers, famous for their black jobs in the Prienai and Pakunai districts, had been convicted of extortion in the Prienai district, Jieznas city. As announced by “Kauno diena” at that time, the brothers of two neighbors from the Birštonas area, who were engaged in the production of the ballpoint pen, demanded tribute for the alleged “ceiling”. As the illegal alcohol producers disagreed with the brothers’ demands, they suffered physical violence and then turned to the police for help.
In addition, the newspaper reported that Revuck, who had been involved in criminal gang wars, had been convicted of murder.
V. Revuck, who is currently in the Pravieniškės Correctional Center, is in no rush to talk about his past.
The man claimed that a few years ago his wife, whom he had now divorced, had sold an apartment in Vilnius and he had returned to his native Jieznas. The man says that he repaired the house for about a year, so he did not work anywhere, and when he was arrested, he had just been quarantined in the country, so he did not have a chance to find work. When asked by the judge if he had worked anywhere, Revuck indicated that he worked in 2018, but could not specify where. “I don’t remember,” he exclaimed.
At the time, criminal police officers suspected that Revuck may have been involved in drug trafficking. These accusations are reinforced by the data collected during the pre-trial investigation: although the man was not caught at his hands, he is witnessed by well-known figures in the criminal world.
One of them is Albin Gudin. The surname was mentioned more than 20 years ago in an investigation into the kidnapping of two Croatian citizens – criminals who took foreigners hostage demanded the payment of 100,000. Redemption in USD. Although the hostages were released, the kidnappers could not find out, only the Belarusian who was guarding the abducted foreigners was convicted.
Now, Gudin is an important figure not only in V. Revuck, but also in another large-scale investigation into the crimes of an organized criminal group. Therefore, according to Marius Švanas, Prosecutor of the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Vilnius Regional Prosecutor’s Office, this witness has been granted the status of a protected witness by the State.
‘A. Gudin is cooperating with law enforcement officers, is under protection, has another pre-trial investigation underway, is suspected of being involved in an organized group, some suspects are still being sought, arrest warrants have been issued and will continue to do so for long fiscal time.
The testimony of another person is also unfavorable for V. Revuck, who is currently in custody: Egidijus Semaška is also cooperating with law enforcement officials, who, according to the prosecutor, acted according to a previously agreed model of imitation of a crime. .
During the pre-trial investigation, officials found that as early as 2019. On April 1, at approximately 8 pm, V. Revuck arrived at Žirmūnų str. shops and met A. Gudin on site. Here the men discussed matters, and around 8.40 pm I drove to another store located at Zarasų and Polocko str. at the intersection, and a drug sale transaction took place here.
The case alleges that Gudin took a 205g package of cocaine from a car and sold it “in debt” to Semashka; he promised to pay 10,000 for medicines. 250 Eur. At that time, Revuck was in his car.
A former famous criminal in the criminal world who has been prosecuted denies the charges against him.
“I do not confess because I have not committed anything criminal,” Revuck told the court.
The defendant said that he had known Mr. Gudin since approximately 2010 and occasionally met him.
“And we met that day, but on another subject: they did not talk about drugs or their sales,” he explained. – I wanted me to help my friend Svetlana to hire my wife, but we didn’t even talk about it. We met in the parking lot of the store, then we approached, as I now know, E. Semaška, and they introduced me to the conversation. I did not understand what was happening here, I was introduced to a person that I did not know, but was waiting, I thought he would speak and then we would discuss my affairs. But after talking, Mr. Gudin said he didn’t have time and we broke up. It’s true, he asked me if I didn’t have a bag, we went looking in the trunk of my car, we found something, so I took it. “
V. Revuck assured that even after not talking about the possibility of hiring the then spouse, he left. At the same time, he denied having gone to another supermarket, where A. Gudin delivered cocaine to E. Semaska.
Denying any link to drugs, Revuck was outraged by Gudin’s behavior: “Because it happened, I didn’t understand why he met me.”
The defendant believes that Gudin is grieving him because, as soon as he was arrested, he agreed to cooperate with the criminal police.
“When Gudin got stuck on cocaine, he began testifying while salvaging his fur; and gave what the officers required, he said. “It is clear that an agreement was reached between them when they began to cooperate.”
At the time, Vytenis Dziegoraitis, V. Revuckas’s defense attorney, believes that A. Gudinas, in respect of whom the pre-trial investigation had been initiated in a separate case, should also have appeared in court.
„V. Revuck found himself in an unequal position, I believe that the violations of criminal procedure hinder the trial of this case, furthermore, this case will be heard twice in the future when A. Gudin is tried; after all, he can not be acquitted, “the defense attorney also noted that the irrational use of public funds.
However, the prosecutor supporting the state prosecution, M. Schwan, considers that the law has not been violated, on the contrary, efforts are being made to investigate the charges against V. Revuck as soon as possible. According to the prosecutor, A. Gudin “is not hidden”, he will be summoned to testify in court and the investigation of the isolated case will continue along with the crimes committed by members of an organized criminal group.
The judge saw no obstacles to examining the criminal case and clarifying whether the charges against V. Revuck were substantiated.
“The court cannot force the prosecutor to separate or join cases, the court examines the cases that are presented to it,” emphasized J. Kolyčienė.
If Mr. Revuck is proven guilty in court, he will face 10 to 15 years in prison.
