Karnishov planned to call Marc Eversley on Monday morning and tell him the good news that he had chosen him as CEO of the Bulls, but the Last Dance series changed Lithuania’s agenda.

Journalist K.C. Johnson reports that Karnishov was so moved by the third and fourth series of “Last Dance” that he grabbed the phone right after them and reported good news to Eversley.

In an official Eversley presentation on Friday, Karnishov hinted that he wanted to bring glorious times to Chicago.

“Eversley is ready for the next step in his career and is preparing to make the Bulls with him as a permanent candidate for the NBA title,” Karnishov said at a press conference.

Karnishov and Eversley will now be on the lookout for the head coach, though current quarterback Jim Boylen may be at the helm of the Bulls.

Coming from Philadelphia for the 76ers, Eversley became the first non-Caucasian to fill that position in Bulls history.

Garma Forman served as CEO in Chicago from 2009 to 2020.
