The Health Ministry announced last week that it would temporarily suspend vaccination against coronavirus in the Kaunas and Panevėžys regions due to a possible violation of the required temperature regime during the transportation of the vaccine shipment.
It is true that a little later that day, the ministry confirmed that vaccination could continue because logistical disruptions did not affect the quality of the vaccine.
While attending a meeting of the peasant faction on Thursday, Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys later assured that the ministry would speak seriously with the company that transported the vaccines and did not rule out that changes were possible in this area.
“These were not deviations sent by the manufacturer to Lithuania, it was that deviation in the course of the Lithuanian transport. It looks like we are going to have a serious conversation with this company and maybe even changes, ”said A. Dulkys at the meeting.
