Jonas Valančiūnas entered the NBA’s health care protocol, which is associated with the coronavirus.

It is not specified whether a Lithuanian suffers from COVID-19 or is in self-isolation due to close contact. The Memphis Grizzlies have already announced that Valančiūnas will miss the next game with the Phoenix Suns.

The Lithuanian is the only Grizzlies basketball player in the sanitary protocol.

Valančiūnas played in the last Grizzlies game with the Philadelphia 76ers. The latter team’s duel with the Oklahoma Thunder was postponed tonight.

The reason for this is that the Philadelphia team identifies possible contacts after the duel with the Memphis club and does not have the 8 players necessary for the game to develop. However, it is not reported that COVID-19 76ers basketball players could be infected in the duel with the Grizzlies.

We remind you that on January 9. In a duel with the Brooklyn Nets, Valančiūnas had to leave the field in the middle of the meeting due to a suspected coronavirus. Still, it turned out that the Grizzlies forward was fine and could return to the court in the next game.
