Experts warn of second wave of coronavirus in Britain

Britain is one of the countries with the highest death rates, experts say in a letter published by The Guardian. The situation of poor people and ethnic minorities is particularly bad. Among the 27 signatories to the letter are doctor Anthony Costell, a former official at the World Health Organization (WHO).

According to the British Health Ministry, more than 40,000 deaths from Covid-19 have been confirmed so far in the country, the highest in Europe.

Experts believe the actual numbers could be even higher.

Due to the epidemiological situation, many experts call pandemic mitigation too soon.

The London government has been criticized for many weeks for reacting too late and incorrectly to the pandemic. The country lacks doctors, nurses, protective equipment and tests. Every part of the country (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) has taken action against the coronavirus.
