These are just a few names that along with other teams will create the theme for this year’s competition, an excerpt from the romantic comedy “Midsummer Night’s Dream” that inspired the flower festival, “That’s why love speaks so much more. , where the words are small and the feelings more! ” The competent commission, chaired by Daiva Gasiūnienė, President of the Council of the Union of Florists of Lithuania, and Jadvyga Balvočiūtė, probably the most famous herbalist and pharmacist in Lithuania, will select the most impressive compositions at the end of the day.

This summer, during the flower festival, the mansion will surprise with an even greater variety of flowers, so the weekend offers visitors the opportunity to get acquainted with various plants, buy them for your garden or patio directly from professional hands . This year, the well-known florist Daiva Gasiūnienė joined the organizing team of the event, on the initiative of which it will be possible to buy perennial and summer flowers, ornamental plants and fruit trees, Lithuanian products and crafts here. According to her, in this event, everyone can not only admire plants, but also consult with cultivation professionals, agronomists, scientists, plants consecrated for their life and time, including the famous herbalist Jadvyga Balvočiūtė.

“This congress of exclusively Lithuanian producers and plant producers is also a great opportunity to support small Lithuanian companies,” adds Daiva Gasiūnienė, President of the Council of the Union of Flower Producers of Lithuania. The congress will take place in a large area of ​​10 ha, so that visitors will be able to maintain the required distances during quarantine.

The manor, which has been richly decorated with various plants and flowers in recent years, was named not only the most flowery place in Lithuania, but also in Europe last year. “Looking at the mansion more than a hundred years ago, it was a large farm, self-sufficient in everything from food to medicine, and the huge park, then inaccessible to the nobleman, was extremely rich in species of trees and plants from around the world.” At the time, it was even a matter of fashion to have plants as interesting and rare as possible in my mansion, making it understandable why a banana grew among the other plants in the vegetation of the mansion all year round, which still it grows there today, “says Baron of Pakruojis Manor.
