Hypertension, high blood pressure, affects 1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women: according to the World Health Organization, more than a billion people in the world have heard the diagnosis.

Pharmacist Jovita Juodsnukytė says that blood pressure tests at a pharmacy are also generally recommended for those who complain of headaches and general weakness. Pharmacists at Eurovaistinė note that people who feel worse for no reason often go to the pharmacy to check their blood pressure.

Although high blood pressure is often referred to as silent disease because you may not even feel any symptoms, the body simply gets used to this sensation, it needs to be controlled by checking blood pressure regularly. According to J. Juodsnukytė, a pharmacist at Eurovaistinė, if a doctor has diagnosed blood pressure disorders, it is recommended to have a blood pressure measurement device at home and regularly monitor it.

People outside the risk group, according to the pharmacist, should check their blood pressure during a regular health check-up or if they experience an unexpected onset of headache, general weakness or dizziness.
