Vilnius Ryto Club has begun to staff the new team of the season. The capital team has announced that it has signed a long-term contract with one of the most promising Lithuanian basketball players: Lukas Uleckas, 20. A three-year contract has been signed with the player.
The defender who improved quickly, representing the Prienai CBet club in the LKL championship last season, played on average for nearly 28 minutes, scored 9.7 points, recovered four four balls and made two assists.

Uleckas has played for Lithuanian basketball teams of various ages, represented Kaunas “Žalgiris” in doubles at the NKL Championships for three years and in 2018-2019. made his debut for the main team this season.
Marijampolietis in 2018 became NKL vice-champion and in 2019. he won the LKL champion title with “Žalgiris”.
“Lukas is a young and hard-working basketball player. We believe he will strengthen the chain of our defenders and easily join the rotation, so that we can achieve the best results together,” said club director Rolandas Jarutis.
With the Lithuanian Youth (U18) and Youth (U16) Uleckas teams in 2015 and 2016 he won the Silver European Championship. The defender also in 2016. He also became the bronze winner of the World Youth Championship.
