“Vaccination is just a terrible grimace of inequality. As we see, rich, powerful and influential people are hitting the periphery of the country, where there are already remains of vaccines, and they can be vaccinated here. Because it turns out that they are softer than softer. This is a terrible flaw in society and it is a manifestation of corruption, ”says G. Paluckas.
“The powerful and influential feel no restriction and can get vaccinated anywhere. They say very clearly: “If we need it, we will get it.” This is the most disgusting thing that any police will capture, because they are also afraid to touch the great and powerful, “adds G. Paluckas.
According to the chairman of the Social Democratic Party, the quarantine conditions revealed that inequality persists in Lithuania.
“It just came to our attention then. We are used to seeing it only in terms of wages, but during the quarantine we have seen that large companies, strong and influential people and their groups, can easily adapt to changing conditions, helping them more. At that time, the weakest members of society or those who are less successful are placed in benefits or charity, ”says G. Paluckas.
The president of the LSDP also appreciated the decision of the Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkis to instruct the directors of the municipal administrations to control the vaccination process.
“It just came to our knowledge then. Everything is much simpler. Each vaccine is in an electronic medical record. In this way, both the ministry and the government can easily compare the lists to be vaccinated with those that are vaccinated. There is no need to wait for someone to report, the data is in everyone’s eyes ”, comments G. Paluckas.
As ELTA recalled, the Presidential Advisor, Head of the Economic and Social Policy Group, Simonas Krėpšta, after a meeting with Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonyte and Health Minister Arūnas Dulkis, said that in case of scandalous stories louder.
“A centralized compliance system would give more control by verifying that vaccination is carried out and that the principles of order are not violated. But at the same time, it would cost time, so a proper balance needs to be found, ”said S. Krėpšta.
According to the presidency, it is good that the SAM has taken measures yesterday to control vaccination, but they are not enough. According to S. Krėpšta, the vaccination control mechanisms must be much stronger.
