A source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told The Times of London that it is “highly unlikely” that they will appear again on social media.
According to the source, such a decision was made by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle mainly because of the hatred that came from Internet users.
Meghan had previously alluded to hating her online, saying the experience was hard to come by.
Until the couple separated from the royal family, social media was a big part of their lives, writes Page Six.
Megxit’s landmark plan – the decision to retire the older members of the royal family – was also announced to the world by the couple on Instagram on Sussex Royal’s profile a year ago. Although it has not currently been removed, it has been inactive for some time; the last entry was posted here in March 2020.
They had also announced Archie’s birth on Instagram, and it was here that he revealed his name.
Even before her engagement to Harry, Meghan ran The Tig blog, which she closed after her engagement to the prince. Markle also had her own personal Instagram profile.
What’s more, it is said that when Meghan and Harry started dating, the latter used an anonymous Instagram account to correspond with his beloved.
And although the couple are now building a web server on the Spotify platform, it is claimed that Archewell will not have social media accounts.
