Prime Minister Ingrida says that the responsibility for the proper use of received doses of COVID-19 rests with the managers of the treatment facility, and that the government or the Ministry of Health has no control over the flow of each vaccine.
The Prime Minister spoke about this when stories surfaced in public that COVID-19 vaccines were being vaccinated by doctors working in non-priority positions, treatment directors, or company directors.
Suddenly, managers have a responsibility not only to make good use of the vaccines teachers receive, but also to act in a transparent and timely manner with their teams, to discuss specific priorities with companies or their representatives, said the Prime Minister on Facebook.
He stressed that there must also be transparent backup streams, which are necessary when someone refuses or cannot vaccinate at that time.
I. The company said it was a shame that someone in the government had to answer questions again, as we assess when vaccines are used improperly and we go to someone who is not in the priority stream.
How can the confidence that can only be shown to the heads of the institutions in such a process be assessed, because neither the Government Chancellery nor the Ministry have the opportunity to train thousands of vaccines and personally check if the vaccinated has a bonus said.
According to the Prime Minister, it should not be expected that such misconduct can be concealed or agreed with the media.
First, the media released medical information about the security measures, which suddenly led the leaders to agree that everything was and was enough. It’s impossible to hide such a thing and you don’t even have to try, I emphasized.
The Prime Minister also said that managers suddenly have a responsibility to use the limited resources provided to them in an understandable and explanatory way.
Doctors working on the covidofront line had no priority over themselves. Other priorities will follow (…) all of which require a high level of responsibility on the part of the vaccinator to ensure that the vaccination process is not compromised, and has been confirmed by the authorities, who have to deal with many other studies that require a lot of time at the same time.
When Lithuania began getting vaccinated with COVID-19 in late December, it was reported that vaccines are sometimes given to doctors who do not have direct contact with coronavirus patients.
At the meeting of the Seimas Health Affairs Commission held on Wednesday, its president, Antanas Matulas, said that around 60 different medical complaints have been received about the disproportionate distribution of the vaccine, in his opinion.
This week, BNS reports that several teachers who currently do not have a contract with the Vilnius University Hospital have been vaccinated.
On Monday, it was reported that the head of Mons Ambulance, who runs the city’s ambulance station, and members of his family had been vaccinated.
According to the Department of Statistics, almost 22,200 companies have already been vaccinated in Lithuania.
